About us

’m so excited to welcome you to Aloah & Co, a venture born from my passion for sustainability, adventure, and ethical living. living on Bundjalung land, within the beautiful Yugambeh region, where so much of this journey has been inspired. By my side is my little pup, Oakie, who joins me on every adventure and is a constant part of the heart behind Aloah & Co.

My mission is simple yet meaningful — to redefine the way comfort and coziness are experienced, while always keeping our planet in mind. In a world where sustainability is often overlooked, I’m committed to creating innovative, ergonomic blankets that offer a conscious alternative to traditional sleeping bags or duvets with covers.

Inspired by my love for sustainable travel and exploring this beautiful country, Aloah & Co was created with purpose. Every piece is designed to enhance comfort while staying true to my values of ethical sourcing, environmental responsibility, and thoughtful living — for those who share the same love for adventure and mindful choices.

Our blankets are the heart of Aloah & Co and a true reflection of my commitment to thoughtful, sustainable design. Crafted from the finest linen, each piece blends elegance with functionality. I value adaptability in every adventure, which is why each blanket comes with a matching linen drawstring bag designed for easy portability and convenience. Whether it’s rolled into your swag, packed away in a rooftop tent, or wrapped around your shoulders by the campfire, these blankets are made to move with you.

Linen has always held a special place in my heart for its timeless beauty and incredible versatility. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, I’m drawn to its natural journey — from earth to adventure — and the positive impact it leaves along the way. Lightweight and compact for travel, yet substantial enough to keep you warm on cooler nights, this balance is the essence of every Aloah & Co quilt.

I invite you to join me on this journey where comfort meets conscience, and design is guided by environmental responsibility. With every blanket, you become part of a vision that believes even the smallest, most intentional choices can help protect and preserve our ecosystems.

Thank you for being part of the Aloah & Co family — one that celebrates sustainability, embraces adventure, and nurtures our planet for generations to come.

Warmly,
Hannah and Oakie

Our ethics

Since the start of Aloah and co, we have made it a priority to lessen our reliance on single-use plastics and other sources of pollution wherever we go in order to preserve the natural beauty of our home.

At Aloah and Co, we only use packaging that is made from compostable materials. This includes not only thank you notes and shipping labels, but also mailers and labels for packages. Before we expanded, our mission was to make sure that we not only used the best possible fabric for our quilted blankets to ensure the warmth and durability of our products for as long as possible, but also that we minimised our potential negetive environmental impact as much as possible. Linen is used by Aloah and company because the flax plant not only takes in a large quantity of carbon but also has the ability to grow in bad soil and can act as a source of rehabilitation for soil that has been depleted. The use of linen, a material that is not only environmentally friendly but also classic and refined.

By using linen rather than cotton to make their blankets, Aloah and coare able to reduce their water consumption by tens of thousands of litres while simultaneously producing more long-lasting products. The European Confederation of Linen and Hemp reports that the manufacture of a shirt made from linen uses 6.4 litres of water, but the creation of a shirt made from cotton requires 2,700 litres of water.

Our innate desire to create a positive impact has always been at the core of Aloah & Co's ethos. Beyond crafting exceptional blankets, we're driven by the need to give back to our planet and its inhabitants. In this spirit, we're proud to share that with every blanket you purchase, we donate $2 to the Captain Paul Watson Foundation. This intentional contribution is our way of joining hands with a force that's actively engaged in safeguarding and rejuvenating our marine life and oceans.

By channeling a portion of each sale to the Captain Paul Watson Foundation, we aspire to play a role in enabling direct actions that counter the threats to our precious marine ecosystems. It's a small step with a profound impact, resonating with the heart of our mission – to be agents of change in preserving the aquatic wonders that inspire us.

But that's not all. Our commitment extends further through a dynamic partnership with the Eden Reforestation Project. For every item you purchase from our collections, including our cherished blankets, a tangible effort is made toward reforestation. Each purchase contributes to the planting of trees, symbolizing the growth of hope and vitality in areas that need it most. It's our way of tangibly reaffirming our dedication to nurturing the Earth, one tree at a time.

As Aloah & Co evolves and flourishes, so does our unwavering commitment to philanthropy. The more we grow, the more resources we can direct towards meaningful causes. We're resolute in our determination to amplify our impact, dedicating a higher percentage of our proceeds to charitable initiatives. This evolution isn't just about our growth; it's about the collective growth of compassion, responsibility, and change.

We extend our deepest gratitude to you, our cherished patrons, for being part of this journey. With every Aloah & Co purchase you make, you're contributing to the ripple effect of positive change. Your choice echoes in the preservation of marine life, the restoration of forests, and the betterment of our shared world.

Together, let's nurture a legacy of giving, protecting, and rejuvenating – a legacy that stands as a testament to our commitment to a brighter future
